Sports Redux: Bill Belichick, Music Critic
Ask Bill Belichick about last week's game, and you may as well be asking him about the Treaty of Ghent. Ask him about the 14-point-underdog Chargers, and you may as well be asking him about an All-Star team composed of the '85 Bears, '89 49ers and the Justice League of America. You know what you get from Coach Bill when you ask about football. But apparently, ask him about team fight songs and you hit a nerve.
"I hate that song," grumped the coach when asked about "San Diego Super Chargers", the team's hokey 70s-style fight song (download it from here, if you dare). He eventually admitted that he just doesn't like any fight song that gets played a lot when his team's losing. We assume he's OK with "Elevation", played after every Pats touchdown. He also said he may enlist friends Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen to write a song for the Patriots. Jets fans will love that.
The Chargers are trying not to fret about the cold weather. If you're the person who gets the NFL Network, you can watch last season's NE-SD playoff game, the shellacking in Week 2, or LaDainian Tomlinson at home making breakfast (just don't let him catch you toasting another man's Pop-Tart). If you just want to wait and watch the game, that's OK, too.
The Bruins are battling a team-wide nasty cold and assorted other injuries, but still salvaged a point yesterday, losing to the Leafs 3-2 in a shootout. Zdeno Chara and Marco Sturm got the goals. The Celtics host Philly tonight at the Garden.

Did LaDainian Tomlinson start crying when Belichick slammed the Super Chargers song?
Does anyone remember the crappy song that was recorded for the Pats before the Pats-Bears Super Bowl? I wish I didn't.
