Boston Blotter: Teens, Rosaries

102207-party-police.jpg--The BPD tied up some loose ends with an armed robbery arrest that happened on the 23rd. They also arrested a 17-year-old and a 20-year-old for pot and guns, while a 17-year-old was arrested for breaking into cars in Dorchester and a 19-year-old was arrested for a road-rage incident on Milk Street. [BPD News]

--That's not the last of the budding perps on today's blotter. A 15-year-old was charged with phoning in bomb threats to Somerville City Hall and Somerville High School. [Somerville News]

--The BPD is asking for help in solving the murder of 20-year-old Daniel Yakovleff, who was stabbed to death on January 17 in Dorchester. His family wants to know what happened and if the fact that he was gay had anything to do with it. [BPD News, Universal Hub]

--A man used a rosary for a completely unexpected purpose when he was being taken into holding at the Framingham Police Department. He ripped off his rosary and hit three police officers with it. That was icing on the cake after a disorderly conduct and possession of a knife charge. Be careful with the click-through--this arrestee was ornery and left behind a remarkable mugshot. [MetroWest Daily News]

--In crime-fighting, new Cambridge mayor Denise Simmons is fighting for stronger laws against stalking, as she was once stalked and attacked. [Cambridge Chronicle]

All charges alleged until proven under law.
