Happening Tonight
Music
After revealing his approach in last night's speech, DJ Spooky dispenses with the theory and dives into the practice. He'll be spinning for the ICA's Experiment, and the ICA lobby will turn into a dance floor. Ghostdad, Kingdon, DJ Lone Wolf, DJ Die Young, and Baltimoroder will be on hand. Learn more about this weekend's DJ Spooky marathon. ICA Boston, 8:00 pm until midnight, $20.
DJ Spooky not enough for you? Thunderdome X featuring Cobra Kai will be at the Greek American Political Club in Cambridge tonight, starting at 10:00. Moody's Falafel Palace across the street is likely bracing itself for a sweaty post-dance rush. For more on the glory that is Thunderdome, check out Bostonist's past Thunderdome Party-Hoppin'.
Sci-Fi Heaven
The Harvard-Radcliffe Science Fiction Association's sci-fi and fantasy convention, Vericon VIII, starts today at Harvard. There will be LARPing. There will be Settlers of Catan. There will be mingling with Orson Scott Card. Check out the full schedule, and you can register for the convention at the door.
Television
If you have the Country Music Television channel, you might want to tune in. Bobby Brown makes his debut in the reality show "Gone Country."
