Boston Blotter: BPD Braces for Super Bowl

--One alleged drug-dealing perp from Revere learned that burning one's fingers to prevent fingerprints does not work. The burning must sting, and the scent of scorched flesh probably lingers. Why go to the trouble if you're going to be caught anyway? [Boston Herald]

--Bostonist doesn't always look as far out as Springfield for blotter material, but it's hard to ignore a story about a patrolman who got into a fight with a lieutenant and a sergeant.
