Drinks Are On Us: Sip, Shop, and Support in Waltham

Go Red For WomenGordon's Fine Wine and Culinary Center is slated to host "Sip, Shop, and Support" at their Waltham store Feb. 12 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Gordon's' Marketing and Events Director Lindsay S. Cohen created the monthly charitable event with her friends Gail Schneider and Catherine Howe during her first few days on the job. "The ultimate ladies night out" features a free wine tasting as well as local vendors selling women's clothing and one-of-a-kind jewelry. A portion of the proceeds from every vendor goes to a different charity every month. February's charity is "Go Red," part of the American Heart Association.

This month's vendor's include:

Cohen said prices usually range from $10-$250. "There will be things for every budget," she says. And since the event is just before Valentine's Day, Cohen suggests "this is a good opp to shop!"

Sticking with the heart theme, Cohen says visitors will be tasting red wines that night, due to their heart-healthy effects. "But you don't have to be a wine expert," Cohen explains.

Wine tasting provided by Gordon's Fine Wine and Culinary Center and United Liquors. Gordon's is located at 894 Main St. in Waltham. Though the event is free, registration is encouraged. Mention Bostonist.com when registering. You need to be at least 21 to attend.
