Thursday Happenings

Music
--The Magnetic Fields, on Valentine's Day? Could anything be better for a first date, or any sort of date? They even work well for a broken heart. Well, only if you got tickets in time. Check the Craig, as this one is a hot ticket. Somerville Theatre, Davis Square, 8:00 pm, $27.50. Good luck getting in!
Burlesque
If your heart is feeling a little flat this Valentine's, get it pumping with a burlesque show. The Boston Babydolls, above, are bringing a Carnaval d'Amour to T.T. the Bear's in Cambridge. Multiple carnival acts will perform (including an "object manipulator"), the staff of LUSH will give out free hand massages, and we hear that Ol' Scratch, who hosts the shows, might sword-swallow as part of the show. 9:00 pm, $10/$15.
Food
Don't forget about the abundant Beer-Oriented Valentine's Day dinners available at Cambridge Brewing Company, Jacob Wirth, Cambridge Common, the Independent, and the Tap. Get the details from Bostonist. You can cap off your meal with some naughty cookies from Flour.
