Saturday Happenings
Comedy
Just when you're sick of all the caucusing and candidate crap, Jimmy Tingle makes a triumphant local return with his show "Jimmy Tingle for President." Bostonist interviewed the candidate, and he's going to have plenty to say. Regent Theatre, Arlington, 8:00 pm. $30 orchestra / $25 balcony. PS--Mr. Tingle himself told Bostonist another show has been added for next Saturday, February 23.
Be careful who sits behind you tonight as sex shop Good Vibrations presents the Second Annual Amateur Erotic Film Competition. We're not sure who submitted the movies or why, but if you see yourself on screen, you might have a lawsuit! Coolidge Corner Theatre, Brookline, midnight (Sunday). $12 (18+ only!).
Music
The New York Dolls might seem a little old to be touring, but they could give a crap. David Johansen, Syl Sylvain, and some fresh young blood are in town at the Paradise, doors at 8:00 pm.
Belly-Dancing
Belly dancer Samarra will be at the All Asia Café. Bellydancers are a dime a dozen, but Samarra is literally shaking up the routine with "Shaken, Not Stirred," a routine in which she bellies up to the music of James Bond movies. All Asia Café, 334 Mass Ave, Cambridge, 7:30, $10. (event spotted via Jim Sullivan)

The listed events were chosen by the editors of Bostonist and brought to you by the 2009 Toyota Corolla.
