He had been sought on a statutory rape warrant issued by Middlesex Superior Court and a separate warrant for failing to register as a sex offender issued by the Lowell District Court. -- Police claim to have thwarted an East Boston break-in last night. Boston police responded to a call from residents at 459 Meridian Steet, where they allegedly found a man skulking in the building's vacant second floor.
