Oddblotter Somerville: Crack is Wack
A pair of blotter items reveals that the crack cocaine in Somerville is not making residents any smarter.
-- Three Somerville men were arrested when they were found in a blue van on Kingman Road trying to make crack. According to police, the men were discovered surrounded by drug paraphernalia and in possession of cocaine and baking soda. The men were reportedly trying to cook their own crack using a metal can. -- Customers of a 24 year-old South Boston man will be dismayed to discover that he was allegedly peddling butt crack. Police stopped and arrested the man and a 40 year old Medford accomplice on Somerville Ave. February 8, and charged both men with drug possession with intent to distribute. Police claim that the South Boston man emerged from his car with his pants askew and his buttocks exposed, a bag of crack protruding from its crevice.
