Cheap Eats: UBurger

When a fast-food restaurant has a name like UBurger, the first choice is, obviously, to order a hamburger. And UBurger definitely has plenty of choices when it comes to burger toppings. But the hidden delicacy on the menu is the chicken.
The marinated, grilled chicken breast is a fast-food of dreams. While most chain burger places use chicken that doesn’t always look like chicken, the meat at UBurger is always a whole chicken breast, expertly marinated in an addictive but not overly powerful sauce, and is freshly grilled when ordered. That means wait times can be a little long, but it’s well worth it.
Bostonist favors the Sweet Chick ($4.50) with honey mustard, lettuce, and tomato. The sweet mustard nicely balances out the flavors of the savory marinade. Also good are the fresh salads that can be topped with chicken – the Greek ($5.25 plain, $6.75 with chicken) is heaped with tons of salty feta cheese, which carries the flavor of the chicken in the opposite direction of the Sweet Chick.
Of course, you can’t forget about sides at a burger joint. UBurger offers excellent onion rings ($2) and some of the best fries in Boston ($1.75). They also serve thick frappes ($3.95) in a wide array of flavors.
UBurger is located at 636 Beacon Street in Kenmore Square and is open 11am to 11pm (12-11 on Sundays). A second location will be opening at 1022 Commonwealth Avenue in Allston (the site of the short-lived Grille Zone) soon.

I love this place. If only McD & BK would take note
This would do well in Davis.
