Sports Redux: The Celtics Have Regained Their Mojo

Maybe it was being in L.A. one night after the Oscars, so the magic of the stars could rub off on them (because when you think "glamour", you think Coen Brothers). Maybe it wasn't. Probably it had a lot to do with the injury-riddled, overmatched Clippers. But whatever the reason, the results speak for themselves: the C's blasted LA last night, and come home with a 2-game winning streak.

The Clippers only broke 20 points in one quarter, and the Celtics spread the ball around well; five guys (Pierce, Allen, Posey, KG and Leon) were in double figures, but nobody had to stay in long enough to get 20. Gabe Pruitt even got six points in ten minutes.

The win made the Celtics 4-0 against the two Los Angeles teams this year. But since they were in LA, it was time to start thinking those thoughts. It's crossed our minds, too.

We hope they're putting fresh hot dogs on the grill this week, since the Garden is going to get a workout. The Bruins and Celtics are swapping home dates all week; the fun kicks off tonight with the B's hosting Ottawa. More good news for the Bruins, as Patrice Bergeron continues to slowly but surely build towards a return date.

There's still no real news coming out of Fort Myers. We're waiting to see if Dan Shaughnessy starts anonymously keying players' cars to create an air of suspicion and discontent. But until that happens, here's Curt Schilling's great story about new Sox Sean Casey, which we missed the first time around.
