--It's a day of nicknames. Francis "Cadillac Frank" Salemme may cop a plea that will allow him to be out of jail by the end of the year. He was an associate of James "Whitey" Bulger and Stephen "The Rifleman" Flemmi who later found out that the two had given information to the FBI about himself and other organized crime figures. While in jail on various charges, he received a reduced sentence after helping investigators bring a case against former FBI agent John J. Connolly Jr. After getting out in 2003, he was implicated in 2004 in another crime and has been in jail since. [Boston Globe]

All charges alleged until proven under law.
