Boston Blotter: Murder-Suicide in New Bedford

--Two people were killed in a brutal murder-suicide in New Bedford yesterday. A man stabbed a woman with a steak knife before stabbing himself to death. The man also went after the woman's roommates, stabbing one and biting another. [Boston Globe]

--Che Sosa, a convicted rapist who is notorious for attacking his own defense attorney in the courtroom with a knife, returned to court yesterday. This time, he was accompanied by well-armed and well-covered guards who wore face masks. According to Marie Szaniszlo, Sosa yelled to a photographer, "Get my good side!" Everyone involved, except maybe Sosa, is no doubt hoping for a speedy end to that trial. [Boston Herald]

--The ex-boyfriend of Norma Dorce Gilles, the woman whose body was found in the trunk of her car, has been arrested for her murder. Gilles had been missing since February 13, when she disappeared from the Malden salon that she owned. According to an autopsy, she had been smothered. [Boston Herald, Boston Globe]

--A man was arrested for stealing an ambulance from Beverly Hospital yesterday and taking it on a joyride. He also "rammed the ambulance into a cruiser." [WBZ]
