Stop & Shop Pulls Possibly Tainted Chicken Products Off Shelves
Tastes like bad chicken to us! Stop & Shop has pulled the following items because they might be tainted with listeria:
Breaded Chicken Cutlet (labeled GB BRD CHIX CUTLETS or GB BR CHIX CUTLTS)
Chicken Marsala (labeled GB CHIX MARSALA)
Grilled Lemon Chicken (labeled GB GR LEMON CHIX or GB GR LNI CHCKN)
Grilled Teriyaki Chicken (labeled GB GR TERIYKI CHIX or GB GR TRYKI CHICKN)
The recall applies to any of these products sold at the deli counter on or after February 26. If you bought any of these items at a Stop & Shop deli, throw it in the trash.
Stop & Shop warns you that you don't want to risk listeria: "Listeria monocytogenes is a bacteria that can cause flu-like symptoms, like high fever, severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea."

Last night I was cooking chicken from Stop & Shop as the recall came on my local news. I was initially concerned. However, what I had purchased was not part of the recall.
I hope the recall was thorough. If I get listeria, I'll alert Bostonist.
