Daylight Savings Time is beginning early this year, three weeks early. US Rep Ed "Biz" Markey told the Globe that the earlier DST will solve all manner of ills:
US Representative Edward J. Markey sponsored the change in daylight saving time, promising that it would combat crime, economic woes, car crashes, and depression, all while saving energy. He said that "people are constantly thanking me for moving daylight saving time earlier in the year, because for them that signals the beginning of spring."
Will it butter our bread, too? Because if it doesn't butter our bread, we're not interested.
The Globe did a piece on the debate between which is better--brighter mornings or brighter evenings. Whatever. All we care about is that we're losing an hour's worth of sleep tonight and might be grouchy tomorrow.
