I love 'em too, but in my case it's probably because the ones I like are so hard to get. We have to drive almost an hour to get to a White Castle, and if you've ever seen "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle", well, that's our life from time to time, when we just can't go to McDonald's one more time.

I generally don't order sliders at any other restaurant though. There are just too many other options that are usually things I can't or don't want to bother with making at home. I could make tiny burgers at home. A good rack of ribs, however.. probably not going to happen!

I think that sliders are probably on the menu because they make great appetizers. Think about it, a hungry bunch come into a pub and they order a couple of rounds of sliders and it can curb their hunger!

I agree with Linda, however I do love sliders myself because you can experiment and they are a bit easier to eat while maintaining a bit of "lady like" manners.

I fall into the minority where sliders are concerned as I find that they do, in fact, fill me up and I always end up taking at least one home with me to eat later on. Perhaps the problem is that we Americans are so tied into the "bigger is better" philosophy that we fail to see that good things do sometimes come in small packages.

Also, from a purely female point of view, it's so much easier to be "lady-like" while eating a slider as there is just no way to do that while chowing down on a big ole' juicy burger that takes two hands to hold and a mouth the size of Joan Rivers to bite into!

True-from a restaurants point of view that's easy. But why do they STAY on a menu? People order them...why?

Why are they on the menu? Perhaps because they're cheaper to make? Prepare for 25 new pasta dishes..
