Uh-Oh. Fire Department Officer Busted for Pot

Whether or not you think pot is a big deal, the fact that a Boston Firefighter was arrested for buying pot today doesn't bode well for the fire department's resistance to the mayor's desire to start random drug testing.

Anthony Gaston is accused of, according to the Herald, "smoking a joint inside a department car." Making things weirder, he wasn't even scheduled to be at work. He was also allegedly carrying prescription pain killers.

Other headlines, such as ones from WCVB and WBZ, point out that Gaston might be familiar to some of you, for good reasons. He rescued six people from a burning building in 2002.

All charges alleged until proven under law.
