A tipster let us know that the BPD had some spectacular headlines recently. Of course, Bostonist cruised over for some Oddblotter material. First up was the headline "What a Lady!" from Thursday night. Bostonist is used to seeing men emptying their bladders on trees, stop signs, sides of buildings, what have you. But we're not used to the following incident that happened in the South End:
While engaged in initiating conversations with area residents, officers observed a woman walk to the front of 1900 Washington Street, pull her pants down to her knees and start urinating on the sidewalk in plain view of the officers and the passing public.Officers approached the suspect and identified their office and instructed the suspect that she should look for a bathroom. The suspect then turned around and faced officers and screamed loudly, “ I will (expletive) piss and (expletive) where I (expletive) want, what are you going to do about it?!”
Easy. They arrested her.
That was followed up by the story "Stupid Is As Stupid Does." The story started off as an extremely dangerous episode for the BPD. The BPD saw a guy try to dump a firearm. He was attempting to flee, leading police on a chase, when they nabbed him. The punchline? All this fuss happened, and the guy never once let police know that the firearm in question was a "replica firearm BB gun."
All charges alleged until proven under law. Image from Amazon.
