The Food Monkey: A Great (and Tax Deductible) Food Event for Charity

031008-taste-of-the-south-end.JPGMike of The Food Monkey has joined Bostonist to share his thoughts about cooking, food history, restaurant trends, and any other Epicurean issues. He promises to discuss what tastes good, but not always what is in good taste. For more on consuming the opponents and other food news, go to The Food Monkey website. Taste of the South End

It's time again for the Taste of the South End--a wonderful event to benefit the AIDS Action Committee. Sample some of the best food Boston has to offer from some of the best Chefs Boston has to offer, and help a good cause in the process.

This year I vow to not be sick. Last year I had a very harrowing story of trying to make it to the Taste of the South End, which you can read about here.

The A.A.C. has lined up an amazing line up of restaurants, all of which you can see after the jump.

From the event site:

For one night only, guests sample culinary creations from some of the best kitchens in Boston and get a taste of how delicious a night out in the South End can be. Participating restaurants will provide bite-sized versions of dishes taken directly from their menus appetizers, entrees or desserts. Attendees also enjoy an extensive wine tasting, featuring vineyards and varietals from around the world. Tuesday, March 11, 2008 Boston Center for the Arts 539 Tremont Street, Boston

VIP only Admission: 6:00 - 6:30 PM
General Admission: 6:30 - 9:00 PM

VIP Admission: $250
General Admission:$95

So if you can, come eat some amazing food for a great cause. You can register online here. Hope to see you there!
