We See Famous People: Love, New England Style, J.E.T.’s Mom, MVP AND Author.

According to sources, Buffy the Vampire Slayer star and Watertown’s own, Eliza Dushku is reportedly dating Seth MacFarlane , creator of Family Guy. Dushku use to date Dodgers pitcher and former member of Alyssa Milano’s baseball harem, Brad Penny. (Has everyone dated Alyssa Milano, or what?)

John Edward Thomas Moynahan’s Mom, Bridget Moynahan, was seen last week on a beach in LA participating in a photo shoot for Vanity Fair. No word yet if her friend Sam Harris conducted the interview or if there will be lots of awkward laughter and talk about crowning.

Finally, on May 6th, Mike Lowell of the Boston Red Sox will be releasing, Deep Drive: A Long Journey to Finding the Champion Within . Rob Bradford of the Boston Herald co-authored the book with Lowell and Bostonist was able to ask Bradford what made him want to do this book with Lowell and what the reader can expect. Find out what he had to say after the jump!

Covering the Red Sox the last few years, you would hear bits and pieces of Mike's story. You realize that, World Series MVP or not, he has a remarkable tale to tell, from his family's history and subsequent escape from Cuba, the transformation from 145-pound second baseman to professional baseball player, to cancer survivor, and the metamorphosis from being a throw-in in the Josh Beckett trade to one of the Sox' most popular players.

Finally, when it was determined that Mike would be returning to the Red Sox,
all the talks we had of someday potentially getting his story in book form
became a reality.

To tell you the truth, I typically don't read books of this ilk, but I can
unabashedly say that I definitely would gladly read this. Every single topic
that is broached, Mike offers more insight than you might imagine. And then
you throw in the journal entries from last year and I think, despite the
condensed time line, it came together quite well.”

Lowell will make an appearance at the Prudential Center Barnes & Noble on May 15th to sign his book.
