--It doesn't get much worse than this. A 26-year-old New Bedford man, who has already served four years for a similar crime, is accused of raping a six-year-old in a library just steps from where the child's mother was using a computer. The suspect was released from jail in 2006 "despite objections from prosecutors and three psychologists." [Boston Herald]
--Che Sosa, who was already serving 55 years on multiple rape counts and for infamously stabbing his lawyer with a prison-concocted knife, was convicted today for a 1995 rape that he was tied to by DNA evidence. [Boston Globe]
--A 17-year-old who is studying chemistry at Holyoke College had his homemade science lab raided by authorities. The Herald reports that he said that the materials could be found at "almost any hardware store or garages in the United States" and that he wasn't endangering the neighborhood. No charges have yet been filed against him. [Boston Herald]
--A Nantucket man pled guilty to sexual assault and child pornography charges involving sex tourism trips to Asia. He was originally arrested after leaving a digital camera in a hotel room with pictures of himself and children as young as five. Over a 14 year period, he admits that he probably assaulted 30 children overseas. [Boston Herald]
