Beauty and the Geek: The new cycle debuted this week with a twist. This time, the beauties are competing against the geeks. The twist makes the show less exciting because the whole point is for beauties and geeks to learn from each other, not fight each other. Plus, aside from a few exceptions, the geeks seem relatively normal.
Chris from MIT and Tommy, the sweater enthusiast from Somerville, seem kind of normal. Luckily, Jim from Bedford, who reminds us of an adorable Furby, is representing geeks good and proper. We can't wait to see his makeover. His mother told the Lowell Sun, "[Jim's] a changed man."
But Sweater Vest Tommy is so normal that he might get some as early as the second episode. Two beauties have expressed an interest in finding out what's under that sweater vest.

America's Next Top Model: Fatima opened her mouth this week and landed in the bottom two, narrowly escaping elimination. But it's not what you think. Fatima didn't snark on anyone or get into a fight, but she made some odd facial gestures in her photo shoot that didn't impress the judges. Her photo made it seem that she had an underbite.
But we don't blame her for not shining this week. We wouldn't like posing with strips of raw meat, either. At least the judges kept her around. They can't resist her because she really does bear a resemblance to Iman.
Big Brother: Matt the Charlestown Roofer didn't seem like the worst person in the Big Brother House, but he's on his way to that title. He said something despicable, suggesting that Big Brother turns everyone into a raging asshole sooner or later.
