Veggiest Wishes You All A Happy Great American Meatout!

meatout.jpg

For the past 28 years, people across the country and throughout the world have dubbed the first day of spring as the Great American Meatout, using the day to spread the word about veganism. Spring is a season of renewal and birth, making it a perfect time to learn more about a compassionate diet that celebrates life - both the life of the animals and the preservation of our own health.

We encourage you to visit the Meatout website to learn more about the day and peruse their great resources for more veg info. Our friends at the Boston Vegan Association took part in the Meatout by organizing a "Feed-in," handing out 100 vegan sack lunches in Downtown Crossing as a way to introduce people to the fact that vegan food is, in fact, delicious.

So even if it is only for one week, one day, or even one meal, consider going meatless - we promise it won't hurt, and that's the point.
