Oprah Giveth, but Did She Also Taketh Away?

032208-oprah.jpgAnyone seen Lewis Black's new television show, "Lewis Black's the Root of All Evil?" In it, two comedians take a side and debate which cultural figure or institution is more evil. Recently, the debate was between Oprah and the Catholic Church.

If the following story is true, Oprah Winfrey might have another point against her. A woman in Lynn claims that Oprah Winfrey stole the idea for her new show "Oprah's Big Give."

Darlene Tracy says that Winfrey took her 2005 idea for a show called "The Philanthropist." A judge dismissed the case, which was filed in Boston's district court, but Tracy is appealing.

The very thought of Oprah Winfrey stealing an idea should be a mind-bender, since she verbally flayed author James Frey for making up his supposed "memoir" A Million Little Pieces on the Oprah Winfrey show.

All charges of plagiarism against an important figure alleged until proven under law. A small image of an Oprah Magazine cover, which is legit, but we don't want to make her angry.
