Boston's favorite most eligible bachelor/fallen-from-grace attorney has proven once again that charges against him won't stick. Gary Zerola was found not guilty for the second time in two months this afternoon in Suffolk Superior Court. The Herald is reporting that he was acquitted of sexual assault on a young woman. The prosecution's case was hurt by questions of the accuser's credibility and the fact that the Boston Police Department didn't get a search warrant.
Zerola isn't out of the woods yet. He still faces charges in alleged rape charges in Miami, but we are curious to see what he will do next. His criminal trouble will most certainly prevent him from working with foster children again, and his legal issues and temporarily suspended law license will make continuing to work as an attorney difficult. Any suggestions for Gary's next career move?
Update: Zerola acquitted for more rape charges, but rearrested for peeing in public.
