Boston Blotter: Murder-Suicide in Lawrence


033107_body_outline.jpg--A man allegedly shot himself, his wife and their Great Dane in Lawrence several days ago. They hadn't been seen by neighbors, and their bodies were found when police checked on them. Police say there was no record of past incidents at their home. [Lawrence Eagle Tribune]

--A man was allegedly caught shoplifting last night at Lord & Taylor's. When confronted, he behaved as if he had a gun. He took off, but police nabbed him. [BPD News]

--It doesn't matter if you're at the Days Inn or the upscale Liberty Hotel. A pain in the ass hotel guest is still a pain in the ass. The BPD responded to a call from a Liberty Hotel security officer, who said that a guest "spit in his face several times." The BPD report adds, "Officers also learned that the suspect had assaulted several hotel security staff, and threatened the general manager of the hotel." The guest, a 35-year-old from Abington who appeared drunk, proved to be a handful and was taken in. [BPD News]
