Drinks Are On Us: Wine Websites You Should be Reading

The online wine world is exploding and there's lots of great information being published right in our back yard.

Here are a few choice weblogs and sites you should be reading if you want to be in the know:

DrinkBoston: Lauren Clark is a freelance journalist and former bartender and brewer. She heads a team effort by fellow barfly Scott Howe, several Boston-area bartenders, and other assorted experts of the Boston bar scene.

Ken's Wine Guide: Ken Hoggins publishes one of the most extensive wine review sites anywhere. An incredible resource.

Greater Boston Wine Tastings: Local Wine Events is the one-stop shop to learn about wine tastings around Massachusetts.

Boston Wine School: Jonathon Alsop's Brookline-based school hosts several educational wine events every week. Great prices plus a friendly staff and terrific guest hosts equals a terrific local experience.

Wine Library TV: If you're not aware of the wine world's enfant terrible Gary Vaynerchuk, then you must not turn your computer on very often. Considering all the knowledge he shares, Gary can be forgiven for being based in New Jersey and liking the Jets.

Post contributed by Dale Cruse. Cruse is a website developer who is helping to change the wine world. He likes to eat, he likes to drink, and he likes to write about both at Drinks Are on Me.
