Boston Blotter: BU Police Department Sketches Suspect

--Boston University police have released a sketch (left) of a suspect in the robbery of a law student--"one of several recent attacks on young women near the BU campus." [Boston Herald]

--In other sad collegiate news, a 20-year-old UMass Amhert student is dead after apparently jumping from the 17th floor of a dorm. The student was from Hingham. State police are investigating but the school does not suspect foul play was involved. [Boston Globe]

--A Boston man allegedly asked two people for money after two in the morning today, and was told by one male to "get a job." The beggar then punched him, knocking him over. Police witnessed the punch and made an arrest. [BPD News]

--Two teenagers were arrested after allegedly struggling to break into an open air ATM near the JFK-UMass T stop. MBTA police (allegedly) were at the scene within two minutes, and were able to catch the young men who fled. Congratulatory canine note: "It was the first arrest for Linos, a German Shepherd who joined Transit Police six months ago." [Boston Globe]

All charges alleged until proven under law.
