Boston Blotter: BOLO for Man Missing Since Wednesday
--Police put out a BOLO ("Be on the lookout") for a recent immigrant from Haiti who speaks no English and who has been missing since Wednesday. His name is Roc Sanon, he is 43 years old, and his photo is to the left. [BPD News]
--Early this morning in Jamaica Plain on Gayhead Street, a woman was stabbed eight times and sustained life-threatening injuries. The BPD report indicates that the victim knew her attacker and that the attacker, another woman, had been harrassing her. [BPD News]
--A woman narrowly escaped an attack as she was crossing the Mass Pike footbridge last night. A man lunged at her, but she escaped and gave a description of the man to the BPD, who arrested a suspect, a 25-year-old from Allston who police said was armed with a knife. [BPD News]
--Police hit the jackpot in Lynn yesterday when they seized 185 pounds of cocaine. Five men and a woman were arrested in the bust. Two of those arrested are local. [Boston Herald]
--Another BU student was robbed on Friday night while on the Esplanade. According to WCVB, "He described the men as dressed in skull caps and dark coats." [WCVB]
--While this doesn't count as an arrest, a local blogger was almost arrested in Cambridge for drawing on the sidewalk with chalk in the alley by the Central Kitchen, where you can see some of the best street art in town. A good time was had by all until "the MAN showed up." They held the blogger for a background check and said they'd arrest him if they caught him "vandalizing" again. Why the police aren't monitoring jaywalkers and people who run stop signs at Mass Ave and Prospect or keeping an eye on the Wendy's, where all manner of vice takes place, is beyond us.
