Sunday Happenings

deliver1.jpgMinimalism + Electricity

-- Minimalism's icon Tony Conrad returns to the HFA with his newer material. His recent video work sounds great, but we can't wait to see him electrocute and screen raw film stock. Harvard Film Archive, Carpenter Center, 24 Quincy St., Cambridge, 3:00pm and 7:00pm. $10/$15. (RS)

Rock Wars

-- The 30th annual WBCN Rock 'n' Roll Rumble starts today. Whether or not the winner indicates talent or future success, you'll probably be able to say "I saw them when ... and they rocked!" Eventually. Preliminaries start today and run through the 12th. Harper's Ferry, Allston, 9:30 pm. (CR)

Funny Pimpin'

-- Pluses for Comedian Katt Williams: He does the "Pimp Chronicles" and he's a Friend of Flavor Flav. Minuses: He was in Norbit. He should make you laugh extra hard for that. Agganis Arena, 8:00 pm. (CR)
