Boston Blotter: Man Shot in Roxbury
Update: The body of Roc Sanon, who was declared missing over the weekend, was found near Route 98 and Interstate 93. The BPD says, "The death does not appear to be suspicious." [BPD News]
-- A man was shot in Roxbury last night. The man, whom police did not identify, was in his 40s, and suffered life threatening injuries. [Globe]
-- Boston police are bracing for a violent summer after last week's seasonal Wednesday brought sunshine and gang activity. Jessica van Sack reports on the BPD's Youth Violence Strike Force, which tries to quell gang beef while it's still tartare. [Herald]
-- A self-proclaimed "general" in the Framingham gangs pleaded guilty to cocaine trafficking charges in Federal District Court in Boston. Lahashid Santiago, 21, of Natick, once claimed that he was "too advanced" to be caught by police. Now he faces a sentence of 10 years or more. [MetroWest]
-- A sixteen year old girl turned herself in to Boston police for the Sunday stabbing in Jamaica Plain. [WCVB]
-- Cambridge police arrested three men accused of robbing a Boston bank on Monday. The three Cambridge residents were apprehended following the afternoon robbery of a Sovereign Bank branch near Symphony Hall. The men matched descriptions broadcast by police dispatchers, according to authorities. [Cambridge Chronicle]
