Fed Chair Ben Bernanke to Speak at Harvard

Federal Reserve Chair Ben Bernanke will take time out of his busy schedule of trying to keep the economy from collapsing to speak at Harvard College's Class Day in June. The Harvard Crimson quoted Class Marshall Alexander J. Tennant as saying, "We believe Mr. Bernanke will provide the perfect balance of thought to our graduation ceremonies." Bostonist wonders: does the rest of Class Day not involve thought?
Class Day takes place the day before the Big H's pomp-&-circumstance Commencement and features speeches from students and alumni. Past guest speakers, who are chosen by the graduating class, include Conan O'Brien, Will Ferrell, Family Guy creator SethMacFarlane, former President Bill Clinton, and Russian novelist Alexander Solzhenitsyn. Apparently, some Harvard classes are more serious than others. Looks like the Class of 2008 is as worried about their job prospects as the rest of us.
