Boston Blotter: Suspects Named by New Bedford Arson Assault Victim
-- A New Bedford woman who was set on fire last December has finally fingered her attackers. Police have taken two suspects -- one a former boyfriend of the victim -- into custody. A third is wanted on a warrant. The victim had been assaulted in her apartment, where she was doused with rubbing alcohol and set ablaze, police say. She suffered burns over her entire body. [WBZ TV]
-- A mistrial was declared in the case of James Keown, the man accused of killing his wife with antifreeze-laced Gatorade. Two days of delays caused by the illness of an expert witness led to the mistrial. Keown had been a talk radio show host in Missouri before his arrest. The alleged murder took place in Waltham. -- Three Framingham men came within dollars of committing grand theft, meat, authorities say. The men stand accused of an afternoon heist during which $250 dollars of meat was stolen from a Stop & Shop. [MetroWest Daily]
