So Much for Checking on Your Flight

041008-logan-airport.JPG

With all the cancellations of American Airlines flights at Logan Airport thanks to MD-80 wiring issues, it makes good sense to check online before you drive to Logan to catch a flight. But you might not want to go to the Logan Airport website to do it. WBZ reports, "There was no indication of a problem on the Massport web site, and the American Airlines phone lines were busy and they could not get through."

The problem is fixed now, but call American Airlines directly (1-800-433-7300*) or check their website if you think your flight might be canceled. Also, the planes being inspected are MD80s. If your flight isn't on an MD80, you are likely okay, but you should still probably check.

Here's the funny thing: WBZ says Logan didn't update it's site. Then it tells you to check its site. Perhaps Logan will be updating now that the media caught them not doing so, but have a backup.

*And if you get a hold of an operator, play nice and don't shout at them. Other people need to find out about their flights. Shout at them later.

Screengrab of obvious contradiction from the WBZ website.
