Best Cover Band Name Ever
-- Lez Zeppelin is a cover band that is exactly what you think it is. Their mySpace page announces that they'll be playing all of Led Zeppelin I in particular. Middle East Downstairs, 472 Mass. Ave., Cambridge, 8:00 pm. $20. (CR)
Future Artists of America
-- Students from the Fifth Year program at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts exhibit their work. Rob Pettit, the cell phone guy, has gotten all the press, but the other artists are also worth a look. Through 05/03/08. Grossman Gallery and Anderson Auditorium, SMFA. 10am-5pm. Free.
-- Local dance dynamo Lorraine Chapman Company presents three world premieres, one from Chapman herself. Joined by multimedia producers Kinodance, the event promises to be a crash course in the local movement arts scene. Institute of Contemporary Art, South Boston, 7:30pm (also Saturday). $31.50/$35.
Local Dance Parties
-- DJ Flack, ordinarily a resident at Cambridge's Enormous Room, brings the beats across the Charles. Bouncement 3, featuring DJ C, from Chicago, and DJ Ripley, from Oakland, gives you the chance to bowl while listening to music from the world's many ghettos. Milky Way, 403 Center St., Jamaica Plain, 10:00pm. $5/$7.
Roxbury Photo Fest Tomorrow Morning
-- Running this one a little early ... blogger Third Decade, aka photographer derequito, has set up a Boston Photo Mob meetup that will tour Roxbury's historic sites. To join the photo crawl, meet at 11:00 am tomorrow morning at the Melnea Cass Silver Line stop. Rain date will be Sunday.
