I wish the guy kept his trap shut about the shirt a little longer because announcing it when they were actually using the stadium might have been more satisfying.

only in boston would a story about the bruins winning a playoff game somehow turn into everyone talking about the first yankees/sox series of the season.. the very long season. boston.. :-) go bruins. i think its HILARIOUS how badly the yankees fans have their panties in a twist over this shirt thing

Personally...the way I feel is that, in the last century, when the Yankees won all the time, I'd have gotten fired up and indignant about something like this happening at Fenway. Now that the Sox win all the time, I don't really see the need to get worked up. Teams that are losing and floundering do stupid stunts like hauling Babe Ruth's piano up from the bottom of a lake (like we did when we sucked) or threatening to sue a guy for leaving a shirt somewhere (like they're doing now). I, for one, much prefer haughty arrogance. It fits this city much better than I hoped.

hooray for the bruins, really. but bostonist.. wheres the story about the shirt they dug up at yankee stadium? they are talking a lot of shit on gothamist.

"Bruins beat Canadiens" .... well it is about darn time. Having sat through the two longest nine-inning games in Major League history: Yankees-Red Sox 4 hours and 45 minutes in 2006 and Yankees-Red Sox in 2007, I have to say that I am also glad not to have been at last night's game. Can't these pitchers throw strikes ?!?!? They should have watched Wang on Friday and Beckett and Papelbon on Saturday more closely; those guys actually throw strikes and get people out!
