Fiance Arrested for Murder of Chelsea Frazier

Over the weekend, Chelsea Frazier, a young mother from Southbridge, was shot to death in the Bronx. Her fiancee told police that a man tried to steal his gold chain while he, the mother and their baby were in the car. When the story broke out commenters on Gothamist were soon suggesting that the father may have perpetrated the crime.

Today, the fiance, 36-year-old Carlos Cruz, was arrested for the murder. He had been shot in the leg during whatever may have happened. Family and friends were already expressing their suspicions of Cruz to reporters. They said that Frazier had broken off their engagement but he wanted custody of their child. WBZ reports that the baby is in custody of New York State.
