Henry David Thoreau is often considered Concord's curmudgeon, but he also conceded, "Cape Cod's cool..."
Readers love his meditations on life and nature while living as an ascetic near Walden Pond, but Thoreau also traveled around New England and loosened up a bit on the Cape a few times, like we all do -- but not as much the Kennedys loosen up. Thoreau loved it down there, and he didn't even sit in horrible traffic that makes it seem so much more awesome when you get there.
Photographer Scot Miller also took three trips to Cape Cod to capture some of the same views that Hank might've soaked up -- and some that he wouldn't -- that accompany the new edition of Thoreau's "Cape Cod". Miller will show a video about his work on the book. George Price, Cape Cod National Seashore Superintendent, will follow with a discussion about current conservation efforts.
