Local band Parker House and Theory (PHT) are coming out with a new album, Automatic Stranger, today. The band will celebrate the release with a show at the Middle East downstairs (MED), sponsored by that lovable college radio station WERS (um... WERS). With a band member named Eric-Jon (hyphenated names FTW) and connections to Emerson College (EC), you know PHT is a little bit out there. Still, despite having a somewhat incomprehensible name, Parker House and Theory plays relatively accessible, polished pop-rock. The band won a 2006 Boston Music Award (BMA) for Best Live Band (BLB), so tonight's experience promises to be pleasurable. Buy your tickets and join the PHamily ASAP. Then, you can scold us for overusing acronyms.
