Update on Brady Smith Case

bc-eagle.JPGBoston College defensive end went to court today and pled not guilty to charges of rape and breaking and entering. The Suffolk County DA's office released more information about the alleged incident:

In addition to requesting the high bail, Suffolk prosecutors recommended that Smith be ordered to have no contact with the victim and stay away from Boston College; those recommendations were granted as well.

Evidence suggests that Smith entered the 21-year-old victim’s residence shortly after 4:00 a.m. on April 19. Smith allegedly proceeded to her bedroom, where he sexually assaulted her as she slept, then fled when she awoke and screamed.

Boston College Police officers responded to the scene and soon identified Smith as the alleged assailant. He was located and, at the time of his initial interview with investigators, had a strong odor of alcohol about him. The victim confirmed that he was the man who had assaulted her.

Bail was set at $50,000. Smith is attending Boston College on a football scholarship and started in 12 games.

All charges alleged until proven under law.

Smith WAS attending Boston College....
Gene is about to prove to young Mr. Smith that once BC hit 30,000 applications annually, the concept of "legacies" became history. Move along, nothing to see here....
