Saturday Happenings

BDDpromFrontWeb.jpgBreakonomics

-- Forget freakonomics--check out breakonomics at MIT. These breakdancing battles include three-on-three breakin' and one-on-one poppin' and house. We're not entirely sure what that means, but all forms of breakdancing are awesome, so we're in regardless. Nemesis, Toys, and Popsicle are among the judges. La Sala de Puerto Rico (MIT Student Center 2nd Floor), 77 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, 12pm-6pm. $3 MIT, $7 student, $12 others. (KS)

Style and More

-- Legends of Style throws a mean party with cool threads, hot beats (from Kon and Amir, DJ Knife, and DJ Rugged One), and cold drinks, all combining to give you a wicked good time. Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont St, 7:00pm. 21+, $15 advance, $20 doors. (KS)

Dirty Proms

-- Boston's Derby Dames want you to go through prom one more time. It may not be less awkward than the first, but it is sure to be more violent. Dirty Derby Prom, Massasoit Elks Lodge, 55 Bishop Allen Dr., Cambridge, 9:00pm. $15

Wizard Rock

-- IFFBoston screens We Are Wizards, a documentary about the many bands who take Harry Potter as an inspiration. Live performances by Harry & the Potters, Draco & the Malfoys, The Hungarian Horntails, and The Whomping Willows. Somerville Theatre, 55 Davis Square, Somerville, 5:45pm.

Ongoing

-- ROFLCon wraps up today and the Cambridge Science Festival continues.
