-- Cops had to call in reinforcements when they discovered a massive, all-female brawl in progress at a Dorchester party early Sunday. Four Dorchester women, whom police claim punched, kicked, and pushed one another, were arrested and charged with affray. The owner of the Westville Street residence stands accused of keeping a disorderly house. [BPDNews]
-- An alleged burglar was found at the scene of the crime in Hyde Park yesterday, asleep. Parishioners of the Most Precious Blood Church arrived for morning services to find the church ransacked and the perpetrator asleep among his takings, which included ritual spoons, knives, and swords, police say. The 47-year-old West Roxbury man was arrested after a struggle and faces multiple charges. [BPDNews]
-- Police arrested a Fitchburg man for the murder of his ex-girlfriend's current boyfriend. Andrew Jacob, 20, pleaded innocent Friday on charges that he fired a .22-caliber rifle into his ex-girlfriend's living room Thursday night, killing her current beau, Gabriel Cintron, 18 of Fitchburg. Authorities say that Jacob has a child with his ex-girlfriend; the 11-month-old child was not home when the killing took place. Police allege that Jacob confessed to the homicide. [Globe; Herald]
-- A Somerville man was convicted of a brutal New Year's rape that occurred in Central Square early this year. Zelalem Mezgebu, 22, was sentenced to ten years in state prison for the aggravated rape of a 25-year-old male victim, whom he had abducted at knife point. Mezgebu forced his victim into an abandoned alley, the one next to Phoenix Landing, and raped him multiple times, kicking and hitting him until he was bloody. [Cambridge Chronicle]
-- Watch where you pour your soda if you are on Prospect Street in Cambridge. A 20-year-old Cambridge man allegedly attacked a 19-year-old Watertown man with an aluminum bat after the victim spilled coke on the suspect's front porch. [Cambridge Chronicle]
