Boston Blotter: Stabbing in Chelsea
-- Yesterday's brutal stabbing in Chelsea may have been the culmination of a violent domestic conflict. Eugene Teixeira, 21, was arraigned today on charges that he stabbed his mother's boyfriend Shadeed Wiggins to death. Teixeira's 16-year-old brother also faces charges of home invasion and disorderly conduct after the pair broke into their mother's house in pursuit of Wiggins, 25. According to reports, Wiggins had attacked Janeen Teixeira, the brothers' mother, earlier in the day, part of a five-month pattern of alleged physical abuse against her. Janeen Teixeira had asked her sons to leave the house, and, when they returned, armed, Eugene Teixeira stabbed Wiggins 6 times, authorities say. [Globe; Herald]
-- A homeless man in Bangor has been charged with manslaughter in the Sunday morning murder of another homeless man. Stephen James, 56, had told a reporter before his arrest that he expected to be charged for the death of Clyde Worster, 63. The death was a result of an argument while the pair were drinking, authorities say. [Globe]
-- Police arrested a 23-year-old Roxbury man after he robbed his neighbor at gunpoint, police say. Last night, the suspect allegedly invaded the victim's apartment with the aid of a 15-year-old accomplice and made off in a car with the victim's stuff. Police say they caught up with the suspects a couple of hours later and recovered the stolen items. [BPDNews]
