-- A woman was sexually assaulted on her way home after last night's Red Sox game, authorities say. She had been walking down Winchester St. in Brookline, drunk, when a man approached her and started a conversation. Things became sinister when he pinned her to the front steps of a house and assaulted her before kidnapping her in an SUV with three other men, police say. [Globe]
-- The Cheeseman, reputed mob boss Carmen DiNunzio, may be cutting his wheels behind bars. DiNunzio was arrested this morning on charges that he attempted to bribe an official in 2006 to secure a $6 million Big Dig contract. The alleged bribe was the result of a federal sting, and Turnpike authorities say that there is no evidence of Mafia corruption in the Big Dig project. [Globe]
All charges alleged until proven under law.
