-- Cambridge is the sort of place where even burglars dress to impress. Police say that a 22-year-old Cambridge man broke into a house on Brattle Street aroudn last Friday, dressed in a suit and tie. The man allegedly broke a window, opened the front door, and made his way to the second floor bedroom, where he passed out. He was arrested soon afterward, and police do not report that anybody came to harm. [Cambridge Chronicle]
-- A man facing charges that he raped and attempted to kill his live-in girlfriend in 2007 has been named as a "person of interest" in a series of prostitute murders. The DNA of Alex Scesny, 38, which had been collected for his ongoing trial, was determined to match DNA found on the body of Theresa Stone, 39, who was found dead in Fitchburg in 1996. The remains of two other women, Carmen Rudy, 28, and Betzaida Montalvo, 29, were found in a shallow grave behind the Hillside School in Marlborough, near Scesny's former residence. Scesny has not been charged in connection to any of the killings. [MetroWestDailyNews; Herald]
