Donnie did an interview and he said that this song was released for 2 reasons: 1. it's the right time of the year 2. it's a song going out to the fans to let us know they're back I didn't love the song at first but it was because I was comparing it to Click Click Click, which is more sexy and sultry. Summertime definitely had my head bobbing the 2nd time around. I can't get enough of it now!! Thank you for the article!!

I just finished listening to that young singer Nasri on MYSPACE and his music is so great. He is actually behind the NKOTB comeback. He wrote the song “ click click click ” and co-wrote “ summertime ” with Donnie. He also is working on some other songs with the group according to the NKOTB website. If you heard the interview before they debuted the single yesterday-- the subtext of the song actually reminisces about their relationship with their fans... and that fateful summer in '88! ;) It's a great song. Good combo of their old sound and today's current sound! Can't wait for the tour!
