Real World Cast Member Steals NKOTB Song Title?

btaylor.jpgWhat's the trashiest TV show concept you can think of? MTV's The Real World probably comes close. Though it used to feature real people with occupations, brains, and sometimes even college degrees (from Harvard, no less), the show has degenerated over the years into alcoholism-condoning, hookup-filled, cancer-causing trash. And what better place for a trashy show than the fakest location of all: Hollywood?

MTV's wet dream, The Real World: Hollywood, hasn't just signaled the downfall of humankind as we know it. The show's also spawned a real live pop star, Brianna Taylor. Though rejected from American Idol during its fifth season, Taylor is coming out with an album this June. And Taylor doesn't just sing--she strips, too (and it's causing controversy!). Could Taylor be the multitalented successor to Tila Tequila? Our fingers are crossed so hard!

Whatever Taylor is, she's certainly not original. The chick totally ganked the title of her latest single, "Summertime," from our sweet, studly homeboys NKOTB. Since using "Summertime" as a song title has clearly never been done before, ever, not by anyone, Taylor is obviously trying to ride the Kids' (dapper) coattails to the top, hoping that requests for "Summertime" will somehow prompt DJs to play her song instead of the Bros. Knight and co. For shame! The Kids have been laying low for years, Bri; now is not the time to get in their spotlight!

In all seriousness, Taylor's song is okay--more country-tinged than we might have expected, and with decent vocals. We also appreciate Taylor's honesty. According to her press kit, "She says what she means and means what she says – Brianna Taylor is the real deal and ready for the pop charts!" That's pretty remarkable, these days. Still, she pales in comparison to NKOTB, so excuse us while we snuggle up in our NKOTB sleeping bag and listen to the real "Summertime." Hang tough, boys.

I just finished listening to that young singer Nasri on MYSPACE and his music is so great. He is actually behind the NKOTB comeback. He wrote the song “ click click click ” and co-wrote “ summertime ” with Donnie. He also is working on some other songs with the group according to the NKOTB website. Here’s the link I found.

My Favorite song is “NOT THE SAME” (myspace.com/nasriworld)

Check his myspace and add him as a friend because he always replies back with a thank you. He’s really hot too!!

GO NKOTB & NASRI
