Sports Redux: Dreary Night In The Dome
I believe it was the poet laureate, Adam Sandler, who said it best when he exclaimed. ‘YOU BLEW IT!’
Jonathan Papelbon blew his second save situation of this season, when the Twins beat the Sox 7 – 6. The water cooler community breathed a sigh of relief this time around since no coolers were harmed after this game. The struggling Mike Lamb got his chance to prove his worth and drove in two runs after hitting a single to left off of the closer.
Julio Lugo committed his 11th error of the season. Feel free to stop now, Julio. Really, we insist. Jon Lester threw for 5.1 innings. Racking up 8 hits, 5 runs, 1 walk and 2 strikeouts. You never know what you’re going get with Lester. The minute you see a glimmer of hope and catch a glimpse of what the Sox saw that was so special, he has another mediocre outing.
TONIGHT: The Celtics are on King James’s court for the 3rd game of this series, Celtics lead the Cavs 2 –0. The Red Sox take on the Twins again tonight sending the 5 – 0 Dice K to the mound. If you’re looking to get out of the house tonight, you might want to check out the Paw Sox . They’re playing a double header tonight and Sean Casey, Alex Cora and Bartolo Colon will all be playing.
