Bostonist Review: Tiger Army Show at the Middle East

tiger armyTiger Army have made it big, and they proved it last night at the Middle East downstairs. The place turned into a total sauna from all the body heat and dancing, and Tiger Army turned up the heat even more with new songs and old classics that kept the crowd of neck-tattooed, septum-pierced, mohawked and pompadoured punkers entertained. Old songs included "Cupid's Victim," "True Romance," and "Devil Girl," while the new material encompassed "Pain" and "LunaTone." At times the show felt more fast than focused, but it made for a fitting transition from hardcore openers The Unseen. Lead singer Nick 13 did some impressive Blue Steel faces for the crowd, and bassist Geoff kept the crowd engaged all night long. We only wish Geoff would have jumped up on his neon green, tiger-striped bass.
