Boston Blotter: Sketch Released of Esplanade Attacker
--The DA's office has released a computerized sketch of the man who has been assaulting people along the Esplanade and in South Boston. They want to talk to the following people:
--A lone male who was present near one of the Esplanade footbridges at about 11:15 on the night of June 16, 2007. That individual saw the victim and the assailant. --A pair of bicyclists wearing helmets and cycling gear who were walking their bikes near the footbridges between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m. on July 29, 2007. They saw the assailant and the second victim, prompting the assailant to put his arm around the woman as if they were a couple. --A male and female, both well-dressed and in their late 20s, who were near Joe’s American Bar and Grill at the intersection of Dartmouth and Newbury streets between 5:00 and 5:30 a.m. on July 29, 2007.
--Working on a tip, police found a stash of explosives in the home of an East Bridgewater landscaper. [Boston Herald]
--A Massachusetts lunch lady is giving her peers a bad name. A "cafeteria director" (senior lunch lady?) was charged with stealing $83,000 from the Milton school district. That's a lot of spare change for extra juice boxes. [WCVB]
--Waltzing around with a parking meter is a lot like waltzing around with a machete. Police are going to notice. [BPD News]
All charges alleged until proven under law.
